Q&A for the 2027 Senior VIP Program

• Up to two-hour personal Senior Experience session, plus personal pre-session consultation to plan your session.   (You can also upgrade to the Senior excursion, if you need more time for travel for your personal session.)  You may also bring your family to part of your session, and we can take a little time to do family portraits. Your personal session MUST be scheduled June – August or October – January.  If you do not schedule your session by the end of January 2026, you forfeit your personal session.  (You may still order from all the group sessions.)
• Extra location sessions (listed below).  Please keep in mind that all location sessions are by group - I photograph all of the seniors individually at locations, but we are all there as a group.
• Cap and gown/college tee session at the studio - May 2027

These location sessions are scheduled over several months.  Please note that ONE date will be available for these sessions, unless I need to break into a second group due to group size. 

May 28:  Coheelee Creek (morning, starting at 8:30 a.m. CST)  Backup rain-out day will be June 3

June 17 at 3:30: Patriotic session will be at the studio.  Images will be taken on a red background, and we'll use smoke in the background.  Weather dependent, we may also take some on the blue truck in our studio garden

Date TBD: Sunflowers (girls) in late June, early July.  These are taken in the evenings, between 6-7 pm.

June 29:  The Grand in Downtown Dothan (These will be scheduled in time slots in the later afternoon/early evening)

July 8:  GQ – guys and color-on-color for girls!  More detail provided later on each type session.  These will be in the afternoon.

October 4: Eden Gardens (between PC and Destin) in early afternoon.  Travel to St. Andrews State (will meet at alligator Park, and then go to pier and/or jetties).  Will finish at sunset.  Keep in mind, this is a long photography day 😉  Back-up rain out date is October 11.

November 9: NPF – Fair photos (Will be divided into groups starting at 5 p.m.)  ack-up rain out date is November 10.

The group will all be at the location at the set time, and I will photograph each senior individually during the session. I may also photograph a few small groups during this time to use for marketing purposes. By doing set times for these locations, you can experience many different looks for your full senior photography, rather than having to add locations to your regular session at an additional cost. Please keep in mind that since we will be at the location as a group, you will have to wait your turn to be photographed in different locations. Depending on the number of Senior VIP’s, I may have to schedule two dates. This will be determined after sign-ups. Please note, if you prefer to be photographed on your own and do not like to wait to be photographed or you don't want to be photographed around a group, then the VIP may not be your best fit.

You can upgrade your personal session to include more time if necessary, to allow us to travel to the destinations of your choice. We recommend the Senior Excursion if you have several places you would like to be photographed.  However, we cannot schedule extra additional location sessions due to one or two people not being able to attend.

No, the studio will not be responsible for travel to or from these locations.  We may follow each other as a group, but you are responsible for getting to and from the locations.  Also, the studio does not pay for entry into any parks (Eden Gardens or St. Andrews).

No! We normally have an equal number of guys and girls that participate.  Some years we have more guys, and some years we have more girls.

For some location sessions, we may have a backup weather date.  If we have to add on another date due to weather, we will add it.  However, we will have to add it to what best fits our studio’s current schedule.

For VIP’s, we will post a private proof gallery of your proofs within a couple of weeks after each session.  The VIP’s generally have over 250 images to choose from, sometimes more. 

The senior VIP costs $425.  However, this includes your two-hour senior experience session (value $175) as well as all of the other sessions included.

You can also add on ALL digital images from your session for an additional $300 at any point during the year. Please note, that a package purchase is still required, in addition to your Session fee.  This digital add-on option is a deeply discounted option only available to VIP's.

The minimum purchase for VIPs is either the A, B, C, or D package.  You can see all package information online at our website wjonesphotography.com.

We recommend that you set up your ordering session after we complete the NPF photo session.  There will be cap and gown photos later in your senior year, but we can leave options for those in your package.  We DO NOT recommend waiting until March or April to order your photos, as the studio is extremely busy during those times, and you do not want to push having your order (including invitations) back on time.  We do wait until March/April to design and order invitations, but the rest of your order can already be completed.

No, the VIP session fee covers the time and work the photographer puts into all of the extra sessions.  The VIP session fee also covers your individual personal session and the cap/gown session at the end of your senior year.

The VIP includes up to a two-hour personal senior experience (Value $175).  This 2-hour time slot is scheduled on one day (not divided up across days).  If you would like to upgrade to the Senior Excursion (4+ hours), please add $200 to the VIP fee.  You can also upgrade to the Excursion later.

The VIP session fee must be paid by May 27, 2026.

The VIP will introduce you to other seniors from other schools, and you will get many portraits taken at different locations on set dates, where we have everything arranged in advanced. The VIP is truly an unique experience!

However, not all seniors want to go on group photoshoots, and would rather schedule a senior excursion (4+ hours) or a senior experience (2 hours) on their own to incorporate different locations.  The senior excursion is generally a full afternoon into evening session, and is a great option if you can’t make the VIP location dates and/or if you really just prefer to do your locations by yourself. The senior experience will also give you plenty of options to capture those senior memories.  We also offer a one hour session, which is held at our studio and in our studio garden.
